Independent Carriers - Enhanced Service

Service Description

Independent carriers provide telephone service to remote state locations not on the State’s Enterprise Voice System (EVS). In addition to telephone service, Independent Carriers also provides network connections to remote State offices.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers will need to provide the location where the phone is located and the name of the staff member available for service set-up. The customer will also need to provide the billing account information.

ETS Responsibilities
ETS will manage incident response and resolution services via the Technology Support Center. ETS staff will coordinate with the carrier to establish, and resolve issues with, the service on behalf of the customer.

Service Level Objectives
The following criteria are the quality of service benchmarks established as the expected performance goals of this service.

 Processing New service requests will be completed within 15 business days from the time the request is received and transmitted to and from the independent carrier. Depending on the location of the new service this may take longer for install if telecom construction is required.  15 business days
